Caroline Morey’s village Chassagne-Montrachet, drawn from three lieu-dits in the heart of the village Le Chene, Les Masures, and La Bergerie all on the gentler lower slopes. Vines are 40+ years old, and the winemaking mirrors her premier crus: 350L barrels, indigenous yeasts, no battonage, bottled unfined and unfiltered. What you get is the Morey/Colin signature precise, taut, lightly oxidative white Burgundy in its most approachable, earlier-drinking form. Lemon curd, white peach, hazelnut, and crushed limestone, with the kind of energy that makes you reach for a second glass.
