One of Graves’ great chteaux, with vines planted on the region’s famous deep gravel beds and a serious table-wine pedigree on the white side, where Carbonnieux is best known. The 2022 is a Sauvignon Blanc-led blend (with a healthy chunk of Smillon for body), aged on its lees in a mix of barrels and large wooden vats. The result is what Carbonnieux always does best: fine, citrus-driven Sauvignon character with the creamy, layered texture that only barrel-aged whites can give you. Luxury without weight, in classic Pessac-Lognan fashion.
