En Remilly sits high on the slope at the top of Chassagne, right against the Saint-Aubin border a cool, breezy, late-ripening site that holds onto acidity and produces some of the most tightly wound 1er Crus in the village. The wines tend to be vertical and linear where neighbors are broad. 2022 was warm but proportionally so, and that warmth fills in En Remilly’s frame nicely, giving the wine more flesh than typical without sacrificing the cut and lift that make it distinctive.
