Erdener Treppchen is a Grosse Lagea grand cru vineyardwhere old vines produce muscular, complex wines with searing mineral finishes. This Grosses Gewchs (“great growth”) designates the estate’s best dry wine from these ancient vines, kept on full lees for a year before bottling to build texture and nuance. The nose mingles delicate slate and intense saline with concentrated, spicy Riesling aromas. On the palate, minerality and fruit coexist in perfect tension: refined yet penetrating, this is dry German Riesling at the apex of its expression.
