Domaine Vocoret has been bottling Chablis since 1930, four generations and counting, with founding roots stretching back to 1870. The estate sits in the village of Chablis itself, and Forets (sometimes spelled “Forest”) is one of its anchor 1er Crus, a south-facing left-bank parcel of pure Kimmeridgian limestone just southwest of town. The Vieilles Vignes bottling draws from vines averaging 35 to 40 years old, with the oldest planted in 1958. The result is classic Vocoret Chablis: bright, almond-paste-and-citrus aromatics, a chiseled mid-palate, and the kind of saline length that makes serious Chablis fans loyal for life.
