Haut-Vigneau is a smaller Pessac-Leognan property created in the late 1980s and managed by Eric Perrin, who also runs the better-known Carbonnieux. It’s a value-tier white in an appellation where dry whites can climb fast in price. The 2022 blanc is barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon fresh and zippy on the attack, with a honeyed weight on the mid-palate that hints at the oak. A good introduction to white Pessac without the First Growth price tag.
