From the upper portion of the famous Charmes slope, classified at the Premier Cru level and now showing the patina of seven years in bottle. The 2017 was Bernard Moreau’s first vintage with these Meursault vines, and the wine has settled beautifully: mature apple, a hint of honey, the gunflint and exotic spice that mark the site, all in lovely balance with its underlying acidity. A rare chance to drink classic Meursault in its mature window rather than a younger vintage.
