But that’s the story behind Mi Nena, a field of ancient, dry-farmed vines in the granite hills of Itata that go by the local name Corinto. The team behind Grillos Cantores farms them with a light touch and rests the wine on its lees for about a year and a half, which builds quiet texture without smothering the fruit. The result is a fresh, saline, easygoing white with a whisper of white pepper and orchard fruit. Serve it cold and don’t overthink it.
