Valravn takes its name from a supernatural raven out of Danish folklore, which is a lot of mythology for a Sonoma Chardonnay, but the wine backs it up. The project comes from the team behind Banshee and has been working Sonoma County fruit for over a decade, with winemaker Rob Fischer leaning on long-standing grower relationships. This Chardonnay is barrel fermented, which gives it a richer, rounder shape than you would expect at this level. It is a lot of wine for what it is: robust, generous, ready to pour.
