Adi Badenhorst’s everyday white, and a reminder that the Swartland’s magic was never reserved for the expensive bottles. The fruit comes from old bush vines on granite and slate, bought from the traditional farmers who have been working this dry, windswept corner of the Western Cape for generations. Chenin Blanc supplies about 60% of the blend and gives it backbone, while Chardonnay and Viognier fill in the flesh, the spice and the length. It is dry, bright and unfussy, the kind of white you open on a Tuesday without thinking twice.
