White Chteauneuf is rare, and Guigal’s version from Chteau de Nalys is one of the very best. Guigal acquired this historic estate in 2017 and immediately turned it into a beacon for the appellation, drawing on prized parcels in La Crau, Bois Snchal, and Nalys itself. The Grand Vin Blanc is a co-fermented blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, and Clairette, aged in a mix of demi-muids and barrels (mostly older) to preserve aromatic lift. It is full-bodied yet focused, with a creamy texture cut by sneaky acidity and a long, mineral finish. Built to drink now or cellar for a decade-plus.
