Pauline and Geraud Fromont founded Marnes Blanches in 2006 straight out of winemaking school and have since become one of the Jura’s reference points — organic farming, minimal cellar work, a house style that is precise rather than showy. This one is ouille, meaning the barrels are topped up throughout aging, so there’s none of the Jura’s famous nutty oxidation here. What the long elevage on white marl gives you instead is depth: breadth across the palate and a taut mineral spine holding it all together.
