The white sibling at Margaux Third Growth Cantenac Brown a small-production Bordeaux Blanc made from a single parcel planted predominantly to Sauvignon Blanc, with a splash of Sauvignon Gris and Smillon for texture. It’s vinified and aged entirely in French oak barrels, which gives it the creamy spine that separates serious Pessac-style whites from simple Sauvignon. The 2022, a warm, ripe vintage, came in fresher than you might expect: confit citrus and white flowers up top, chamomile and spice underneath, and a bright, mouthwatering finish. Bordeaux Blanc that drinks like a white Burgundy in cool sunglasses.
