WhistlePig The BigShBng is the oldest single malt whiskey bottled in North America 30 years old, distilled in 1995 at Glenora in Nova Scotia and finished for about a month in Vin Santo casks before WhistlePig bottled it at the Vermont farm. Fewer than four barrels exist. Three decades in cask brings the kind of depth young whiskey can’t fake: dried fruit and honeyed malt from the base spirit, an Italian dessert-wine sweetness laid over the top from the Vin Santo finish. Non-chill filtered, bottled at 45.2% ABV. This is a whiskey for a collection or a genuine occasion, not a nightcap pour it neat, in a proper glass, and take your time.
