Erin Mitchell and Randy Czech of Unturned Stone source this bottling from Vecino Vineyard in Potter Valley, a cool, high-elevation pocket of Mendocino that holds onto acidity beautifully. ‘The Hatchling’ is the project’s accessible, lower-intervention expression of the variety: bright, juicy, and built for warm-weather drinking. A great California alternative for the Sancerre or Loire-curious looking for something a little more exotic.
