Drew Neiman cut his teeth working harvests under John Kongsgaard starting in 1994 that’s pedigree most Napa winemakers would kill for. He started Neiman Cellars in 1997 with three tons of purchased fruit and has stayed small and personal ever since, producing roughly 600 cases of minimally handled, small-batch wine. The Napa Valley Proprietary Red is his Cabernet-led blend, drawing on serious sites across the valley. 2018 is widely considered one of the great recent Napa vintages long, cool growing season, picture-perfect ripening and this bottle is showing it: dark, polished, structured, and ready to drink now or hold another decade.
