The most represented grape of the Sicily region is Nero D’avola. The vineyards from which this wine was born live in the Agro di Salemi and in the locality of Mazara del Vallo, in the well suited Western Sicily. The grapes are harvested from the first 10 days of September. Fermentation takes place traditional in red with aging in steel for only 4 months. Its colour is intense ruby red with violet reflections. Elegant floral notes of rose are perceived on the nose that prelude to a fruity trace composed of blackberry and Morello cherry. On the palate, hints of ripe sour cherry stand out for an overall warm and harmonious flavour.
