Les Hritiers du Comte Lafon is Burgundy great Dominique Lafon’s biodynamic outpost in the Mconnais, and the Clos du Four in Milly-Lamartine is one of its signature sites. Farmed organically and biodynamically, the Chardonnay here is pressed gently and aged in large wood, the recipe for a white that’s both rich and tightly focused. It’s the kind of Mcon that drinks well above its station, with the cut and minerality you’d expect from much pricier bottles. Burgundy lovers, take note.
