Lagavulin Offerman Edition is what happens when an Islay single malt Scotch hands the keys to its most famous fan. Nick Offerman who spent years drinking this malt on camera as Ron Swanson worked with the distillery to select an 11-year-old bottling at 46% ABV, the first release in the Offerman series. The whisky keeps the house style intact: dense peat smoke and sea air up front, then smoked malt, vanilla, and a dark-fruit sweetness that keeps the smoke from turning severe. The finish runs long and briny. A genuinely limited bottling, it moves quickly when it hits shelves. Pour it neat beside a fire, preferably in silence, exactly as its namesake would insist.
