Created for the final season of Game of Thrones, it leans on single malts from Clynelish, one of Scotland’s most northerly distilleries, where the cold shaped the whisky’s character. The pour is light and sweet, with caramelized sugar and vanilla up front and a snap of fresh red berries underneath. Bottled at 41.7% ABV, or 83.4 proof, it stays soft and easy even at freezer temperature. Chill the bottle for a few hours and a temperature-sensitive message surfaces on the label.
