Glenmorangie The Infinita is an 18-year Highland single malt built on split maturation: fifteen years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then roughly 30% of that whisky moves to Oloroso sherry casks for three more years before the two portions reunite. That split is the whole point it lets Glenmorangie push real sherry richness into part of the blend without letting it dominate the whole thing. Bottled at 43% ABV, it drinks with the house’s usual elegance but more depth than the standard 10- or 12-year expressions. Pour it neat, in a proper glass, and let the sherry-matured portion show itself as it opens.
