Du Tertre’s 2015 captures one of the great classical Bordeaux vintages in its early prime. The estate’s defining feature – a gravel mound that is the highest point in Margaux – gives this Cabernet-led blend exceptional drainage and a signature lift of perfume. Still youthful and structured, with plenty of dark fruit and firm tannin to carry it for another fifteen-plus years, but already showing the violet-and-graphite charm that makes Margaux Margaux. Decant for a hour or two if drinking now.
