L’Orangerie comes from a distinct parcel within the Aux Quarts 1er Cru climat in Chaintre, vinified by the joint venture between Maconnais master Olivier Merlin and Burgundy legend Dominique Lafon. The partnership has set a new bar for Pouilly-Fuisse since the appellation finally gained 1er Cru status in 2020, working old vines with a precise, low-intervention hand. Expect a Chardonnay of real Cote d’Or stature: chiseled, mineral, and built to age. A serious bottle that punches well above its Maconnais address.
