From some of Oregon’s oldest Pinot Noir vines, planted in 1976 at 500-700 feet elevation in the Red Hills of Dundee, Abbey Ridge produces wines of remarkable aging potential. The non-irrigated, organically farmed site draws on deep subsoil moisture during late summer’s dry months, yielding fruit with naturally high acidity. The 2023 shows deep color with ripe Bing cherry, Italian plum, and forest floor aromas. Concentration and smooth but present tannins, built for serious cellaring while remaining accessible now.
