This is Ashes & Diamonds’ white flagship, a Bordeaux-inspired blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon made by Steve Matthiasson from vineyards in Oak Knoll and Yountville. Fully barrel-fermented with no lees stirring and a short eight months in mostly neutral oak, it threads the needle between richness and cut. The fruit is ripe and textured, but the wine stays bright, zesty, and genuinely age-worthy, which is rare for a Napa white. It rewards a little patience but drinks beautifully young. A serious, food-loving white with classic bones.
