Tepezate (Agave marmorata) is one of mezcal’s most distinctive and challenging agave varietieswild or semi-cultivated, with a much longer maturation cycle than common Espadn. Yuu Baal is a social enterprise highlighting traditions of native Oaxacan mezcal producers across three communities: San Juan del Rio, San Luis del Rio Tlacolula, and Miahuatlan. The complete production cycleplanting, cutting, fermentation in pine vats, double distillation in copper stillsis done manually with respect for the environment.
