BARREL DETAILS:

Aged at least 10 years, Warehouse 1, Rick Y, Level 5, 110.7 Proof, 55.35% ABV

TASTING NOTES:

• Nose: Unlike the fruit forwardness of 81757, this barrel has plenty of heat, pine, and sawdust notes leading the pack. Cinnamon and nutmeg-crusted pie come to mind, as well as caramelized sugars, and lemon.
• Palate: The palate is thick and coating, immediately drawing dark cherry notes, with cracked pepper and licorice-like spice notes following closely after. Dark fruits hold their own through most of the palate, introducing a pain au chocolat-like center.
• Finish: The finish is slow, gripping, and spiced. Oak notes arent exactly as easy to detect as they are in 81757, and the flavor in this bottle is so thick it will take repeated tastings to pull back all the layers. Is that ever a bad thing?
