Viva Mexico Anejo is a Los Altos highland tequila, aged at least a year in used American oak by the Vivanco family at their Arandas distillery. It is made from 100% blue Weber agave and is confirmed additive-free, so the sweetness here comes from cooked agave and time in wood, nothing poured in afterward. That aging gives it a soft, dessert-leaning profile: cooked agave and vanilla on the nose, caramel and warm cinnamon across the palate, and a long finish that trails off into almond and oak. At 80 proof it sits comfortably as a sipper. Pour it neat in a snifter after dinner, or let it stand in for aged rum in a stirred cocktail.
