The Fortuna Vineyard sits on the alluvial fan below providing red-fruit lift and spice while Leopoldina, planted high on the bedrock ridge above, builds the wine’s structure and mid-palate weight. Patrick O’Dell has owned Turnbull since 1993 and farms more than 200 acres in Napa with a long-view, sustainable approach, with everything estate-grown and estate-bottled. The 2021 is a classic warm-but-balanced Napa vintage, and this is Oakville Cabernet in its grandest dress.
