Tormaresca Calafuria is a dry rose from Salento, in the heel of Italy’s Puglia, made entirely from Negroamaro. Tormaresca is Antinori’s Puglian estate, and this pale, coral-pink wine leans into the grape’s coastal side: wild strawberry and rose petal on the nose, then crisp red berry and citrus across a light, mineral-edged palate. The 2020 vintage stays bright and low in tannin, finishing clean and saline rather than sweet. Serve it well chilled as an aperitivo, or pour it alongside grilled fish, summer salads, and lighter pasta where its freshness does the work.
