The Fernndez Rivera family farms 100% Tempranillo on high, poor soils near the Duero Rivera terroir that forces vines to dig deep for minerals and character. The 2019 spent 24 months in American oak, building structure and complexity, then was bottled unfiltered and unfined. The vintage brought dry conditions and outstanding phenolic ripeness from the region’s famous temperature swings between day and night. Expect dark fruit, spice, and the mineral underbelly that makes Spanish Tempranillo sing.
