Domaine Thibert is a family-run estate in Mconnais, producing focused, terroir-driven chardonnay in both Pouilly-Fuiss and Pouilly-Vinzelles, with the latter often overlooked despite offering exceptional value. The 2018 Pouilly-Vinzelles ‘Les Longeays’ is concentrated and bright, combining peach, lemon curd, and orange oil with hints of freshly baked bread and balanced oak influence. Grapes are fermented and aged a minimum of 1822 months in barrel, followed by time in stainless steel to balance richness with precision. Its racy acidity, broad texture, and saline finish make it ideal with most savory fare. This bottle will continue to evolve beautifully through 2035. An SF staff favorite.
