Founded in 2020 by Peter Bignell (Belgrove Distillery) and good mate Phil Collidge, The Remnant Whisky Company is an independent bottler based out of Tasmania. Remnant Whisky Company was founded out of the ashes of the spectacularly public implosion of a well known Tasmanian Whisky Distillery. The founder of that distillery had encouraged consumers to invest in casks of whisky to raise capital for the brand, however fraud and dodgy dealings at the distillery occurred, and the house of cards collapsed.

Peter Bignell of Belgrove Rye Whisky fame and his hastily formed consortium came to the barrel investors rescue, securing as many quality whisky casks as they could get his hands on, to continue maturing and releasing great whisky, and returning value to the everyday Aussies investors who would have otherwise lost it all!

Tasting Notes:

First-fill Bourbon and Australian Apera casks bring aromas of mocha, blood orange and fresh ripe peach with a hint of toasted marshmallow. On the palate, decadent flavours of dark chocolate orange, meringue and salted caramel evolve into an elegant finish of almond croissant and vanilla custard.
