Terre Stregate is a family-run estate in Sannio, the heart of inland Campania, working with the region’s two great indigenous grapes: Aglianico for reds and Falanghina for whites. Manent is their Aglianico bottling, made from estate vineyards planted on calcareous clay hillsides that help give the wine its freshness and structure. Don’t expect a brooding monster here. The style is more transparent, focused on freshness and the grape’s natural mountain-cool acidity. A great introduction to one of southern Italy’s most serious red varieties.
