My wine partnership with Doug Stanton has spanned twenty years. His OakvilleCabernet Sauvignon was discovered back then at the annual Taste of Oakville by somefriends and former colleagues of mine. The Taste of Oakville is held every spring fortrade and media only and is considered the best Cabernet tasting in all the USA. It is atthis tasting the wines of Harlan, Screaming Eagle, Bond, Rudd, Dalla Valle, Opus One,you name it! If it is from Oakville, it gets poured. A fantastic opportunity to meet one onone with the proprietors and winemakers of these outstanding wines. On a recent trip toNapa Valley, we spent days meeting up with our winery partners seeking the best winesand deals to be made. We met and tasted multiple vintages of Dougs Oakville CabernetSauvignon and struck a deal to help him clear through some inventory. The exceptionalfruit they cultivate is sought by some of the most prominent wineries in the regionincluding Stags Leap, Merryvale, Del Dotto, Orin Swift, and Groth. Their 2020 CabernetSauvignon is drinking great right out of the gate! You will not find a boutique Napa ValleyCabernet of this caliber at the price we are offering. Be warned, you will inquire aboutmore once trying and it is while supplies last.
94 Points James Suckling
Super-ripe, soft and silky. Its difficult to resist this big but gentle wine. Relaxed anddeep with black cherries, red cherries, moderate oak spices and very smooth tannins. Its an indulgence for enjoying now and for years to come. Drink or hold.
