SHAKMAT 23 Year Old is a limited-edition, 23-year-old Armenian brandy created by Flaviar in partnership with Proshyan. Its name, Shakmat, means chess in Armenian, reflecting Armenias love of the game and its rich distilling tradition . Shakmat is distilled from local grape varieties (Kangun, Kakhet, Garan Dmak, Rkatsiteli) and aged 23 years in Caucasian oak barrels . On the nose it is intensely aromatic with dried fruits (plums, raisins), walnut and gentle spice. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, unveiling flavors of honey, fig, dark chocolate and vanilla, with complex hints of tobacco, clove and oak . These layers build to a long, sophisticated finish.
