Filmmaker Michael Seresin (he shot “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” among many others) founded this Marlborough estate in 1992 with a clear idea: farm biodynamically, work by hand, let the place speak. Today Seresin is the largest Demeter-certified estate in Marlborough, and Leah named for Michael’s daughter is the single-vineyard Pinot Noir from Raupo Creek in the Omaka Valley, a clay-rich amphitheater of a site that gives the wine its red-berry lift and its bones. Wild-fermented, raised in French oak with a careful hand, this is Marlborough Pinot the savory, structured way.
