Tasted neat in a Glencairn

• Tasting Notes: French vanilla, toffee syrup, nougat, sweet oak, frosted sugar cookie; creamy caramel, honey-glazed apple, light molasses, nutmeg, hints of pistachio; medium-long finish w/ brown sugar glaze, singed honey, sweet charred oak, diet cola, white pepper

• Impression: So damn good. While extremely similar to Hamburglar, Tyrone Monster is (by a wee Turkey feather) the sweeter of the two. Dare I say its gooey? But seriously, nougat, frosted sugar cookies, and pistachio? Hey – I call em like I taste em. It might just be this particular tasting, but I swear I discovered this pistachio note a few days ago. Im not sure if it was this exact barrel, but its for sure on my mind (and in my glass) this evening. If youre a fan of sweet bourbon you cant go wrong with Tyrone Monster. This is a beast of a whiskey – a Tyrone F selection Im confident will be remembered fondly like 2022s Gobble Eye.
