A wine of nearly indescribable finesse, the 2019 Alpine Vineyard Pinot Noir reveals translucent ruby color and a sweet floral, savory bouquet electrified by beams of minerality. From a 16-clone vineyard at 1,200-1,490 feet elevation on Purisima Shale soils, hand-harvested and fermented with native yeast and cold soak. Medium-bodied with ripe cherries, strawberries, spice, and sappy underbrush with silky yet building tannins. One of Rhys’s most balanced and complete wines.
