The flagship blendassembled from 20 different parcels across 1516 named vineyard sites throughout Cte-Rtie. Ampodium (formerly called ‘Classique’) captures the full range of the appellation in one bottle: fruit from both Cte Brune and Cte Blonde, blended to show Cte-Rtie’s complete personality. Ren Rostaing began in 1971; his son Pierre now manages over 20 acres of the appellation’s finest sites, inherited from legends Marius Gentaz and Albert Dervieux. At least 40% destemmed, 1525% new French oak, aged approximately 22 months. The most accessible Rostaing, but don’t mistake accessibility for simplicity.
