Gran Patrn Burdeos is an aejo tequila that ends its aging in vintage Bordeaux wine barrels, the rarest finish in the Patrn portfolio. Twice distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, the tequila rests a year in used American oak and new French oak before the wine barrels layer blackcurrant and dried fruit over velvety vanilla and raisin. The aroma leads with charred wood, amber honey, roasted pumpkin and coriander. Bottled at 40% ABV in a hand-numbered crystal decanter, it arrives in a velvet-lined wooden box built for giving. Pour it neat in a snifter after dinner, for someone convinced they already know what tequila can do.
