Dark and intensely balsamic, with signatures of black cherry, tar, licorice, and violets, the 2021 opens with reticence but builds to a plush, velvety palate with remarkable sapidity and balanced acidity. From a vineyard planted sixty years ago at 300 meters with southeastern exposureexpect it to evolve beautifully over the next 15 to 20 years.
