The Montelobos Espadin Mezcal is a single-village mezcal made from 100% Espadin agave. It is produced in the village of San Luis del Rio in Oaxaca, Mexico. The agave is cooked in a traditional underground oven and then double-distilled in copper stills. The mezcal is bottled at 43% ABV and has a smoky, earthy flavor with notes of citrus and pepper. It is best enjoyed neat or in a classic mezcal cocktail.
