For nearly a thousand years, Monte Albn existed as an influential Zapotec center in Mesoamerica now known as Oaxaca, Mexico. It was here that Spanish conquistadors first discovered the local fermented agave drink called pulque. Soon, the Spaniards created mescal which led to todays tequila.
Monte Albn tequila and mezcal are made from 100% agave following traditional processes resulting in award-winning and varied taste experiences across the different Monte Albn expressions.
Tasting Notes: Tropical nose with coconut and pineapple notes. A layered palate of honey, sweet potato, and cream is carried by a slightly dry, medium-bodied wine that finishes with a mild spice.
