Sit back, pour a glass, and discover this refreshing white from France’s picturesque Gascony region. Mont Gravet is a producer rooted in tradition and authenticity, showcasing the vibrant character and remarkable value of wines from Southwest France.
The fruit is sourced from vineyards surrounding the historic town of Eauze, in the heart of Gascony. Here, the vines grow in clay soils dotted with the region’s distinctive rounded pebbles, known as gravet. Forced to dig deep in search of water, the vines produce grapes with impressive concentration, elegance, and complexity.
A blend of 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Colombard, this lively white comes in at a refreshing 11% alcohol, making it an ideal choice for warm afternoons or easy entertaining.
The nose opens with fragrant aromas of ripe pear and a hint of apricot. A four-month maturation on fine lees in stainless steel lends the wine a subtle creaminess and silky texture, with delicate notes of toasted brioche adding depth. Bright flavors of grapefruit and exotic lychee bring freshness and energy, culminating in a crisp, clean finish that invites another sip.
This is a versatile food wine that shines alongside grilled oysters, fresh goat cheese, or zesty shrimp ceviche.
