The Very First Jazz Bottle
Only 576 Bottles Produced
The very first Jazz bottle was this 1993 vintage, bottled in 2011 and a release that contained only 576 bottles. Matured for its 18 years in bodega sherry casks, this 55.4% single malt is considered by many Lagavulin fans to be one of the finest it has ever released. Stuffed with flavour and personality, it is a superb example of what Lagavulin does best: thick and rich single malts stuffed with sherry and fruit sweetness.
On the nose you will discover the cask strength first, suggesting a drop of water will open this whisky beautifully. Then youll find the fruit and typical peat signature. The taste is sublime with a wonderful combination of dark fruits, peat and sherry. The finish is long and luscious with lots more peat, sherry and caramel jostling for attention.
