Lagavulin 16 Year Old is one of Islay’s most celebrated single malts a full-bodied, intensely peated expression distilled on the rugged southern coast of Islay and aged 16 years in oak casks. The nose is deeply smoky with iodine, seaweed, and a rich underlying sweetness. On the palate, dry peat smoke dominates with a gentle sweetness, sea salt, and touches of wood, finishing long and elegant with lingering peat and brine. Best enjoyed neat or with a small splash of water.
