Hillrock Double Cask Rye is a unique American whiskey, handcrafted in small batches from 100% estate rye, which has been naturally grown, small batch pot distilled, aged, and bottled all on our Hudson Valley Estate. After aging in new #3 char American oak casks, the award-winning whiskey is then aged in #4 char new American oak casks which add layers of caramel and vanilla to complement traditional rye spice.

Tasting Notes: The Double Cask Ryes deep golden amber color is highlighted by warm and inviting aromas of vanilla and caramel with hints of prune, apricot and rye spice round out the nose. Initial caramel sweetness on the palate is followed by mint, clove, and cinnamon spices before fading to a caramel, butterscotch conclusion with a long, warm and sweet finish.

Rock Hill Double Cask Rye Whiskey is a unique blend of two distinct rye whiskeys. The first is a two-year-old rye whiskey that is aged in new charred American oak barrels. The second is a four-year-old rye whiskey that is aged in used bourbon barrels. The combination of the two creates a unique flavor profile that is both spicy and sweet. The whiskey has notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak, with a hint of spice. It is bottled at 90 proof and is perfect for sipping neat or in a classic cocktail.
