Heaven Hill, founded in 1935 in Bardstown, Kentucky, survived a devastating 1996 fire that destroyed 90,000 barrels. Each of the 204 barrels selected for this release was produced on December 13, 2015Heaven Hill’s 80th anniversaryand matured for nine years in Rickhouses G and H. The blend marries 70% standard-char bourbon with 30% heavy-char bourbon, where the intensely fired barrels create a deep ‘alligator’ char layer for added smoothness. Bottled at 107 proof, non-chill-filtered.
