The name of this bourbonis attributed to one of an American famous gunsmith Henry Derringer. He designed The Philadelphia Deringer – a popular concealed carry percussion handgun of the era. Because of their small size and easy availability, Deringers sometimes had the dubious reputation of being a favored tool of assassins. The most famous Deringer used for this purpose was fired by John Wilkes Booth in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
H.Deringer bourbon comes in the exquisite crystal decanter designed by a famous glass artist. This Bourbon is aged in new charred white oak casks. Minimal batch offering. Unmatched character and incredibly smooth.
Mash Bill: Corn 75%, Rye 21%, Barley Malt 4%
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, cream. Light rye spice in the finish.
Palate: Caramel, vanilla, fruit. Slightly candied, slight spice.
“Despite the huge, weighty bottle, this is the lighter side of bourbon whiskey with vanilla and sugars in quiet agreement” – Jim Murray, Whisky Bible (88 Points)
